Is Financial Literacy a "waste of time"?

In recent days, a very interesting "crossroad" has surged while reading Annamaria Lusardi (professor of Economics at Darmouth College) and Stephen J. Dubner; Ms. Lusardi argues about the urgency of educating people about financial literacy and Mr Dubner argues that -on the other hand- it's a "waste of time" according to other academics.

In a modest personal perspective there are no excuses for not learning given the problem (among others) involving personal bankruptcies because of credit cards, it is my belief that financial literacy is an URGENT issue not only to consider but to work on.

Let's watch a couple of examples in favor of financial literacy...
